Claire Missingham is a celebrated yoga teacher, she leads inspirational open yoga classes worldwide, and is currently based in London. She has a unique ability to naturally inspire a deeper understanding of the flow of breath, movement and mindful connections of yoga. Her teaching emphasis is on postural alignment, yogic philosophy and integration of yoga principles into daily life.
The aim of understanding your yoga practice is that the true state of the spirit is freedom. Developing a personal yoga practice allows a connection to spiritual freedom, a state of deep inner calm and connection beyond the realm of everyday life.
In the Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice, we develop a ‘krama’, or sequences of postures that lead us to a ‘destination’ pose in gradual stages. Each pose in turn deepens the physical body so we are ready for this final pose. Vinyasa generates the subtle, internal heat of transformation and stokes agni fire.
Our main purpose is to create awareness of body and mind, using ancient yogic techniques that have been refined to present day standards of excellence. We trust in the power of our own truth and our teachings are grounded in searching for truth of Mind and Body – leading us to our Spirit, and essentially towards our highest potential.
Claire teaches in London and around the globe, and is passionate about promoting health, vitality and wellbeing through yoga.
